Free speech or a gateway to antisocial behaviour?

What a wonderful way to share live action, news, comments, critiques, ideas, conversations and a cache of creativity from anywhere in the world to anyone else. These are blessed times in which we live.

From schoolyard bullying to mass killings, from road rage to pranks, the livestream feature on social media applications is the newest and best way to share evil intentions. Oh yes, this is the wonderful side of livestreaming.

There’s a push to remove livestreams from social media or, at the very least, delay their transmissions to do two important things.

And it’s not only our violent side that we’re trying to suppress, there’s our pitchfork, lynching side that thrives when it comes to issues of injustice. Some of us believe that the law of the land isn’t good enough — that includes livestreaming our sentences so everyone can see real justice at work.

What a wonderful world.
